Not many massage therapists talk about how they are able to continue their line of work without getting tired out so easily. If you were lucky (or unlucky) enough in the past having been asked to give your parents a massage, you may have noticed how your hands or your entire body was tired out just after a few minutes.
In our daily lives we move certain ways that fit our current lifestyle. Most of the time our bodies are not balanced throughout the day and we may be feeling aches and pain in certain areas. It's probably because you work a desk job or are constantly looking down at your phones. In this case your shoulders will be rotated forwards, chest slightly contracted and back muscles are completely stretched from their proper position. Introducing body mechanics: keeping your proper posture in terms of the best movements suited to your body.

As massage therapists certain body mechanics that will come to play are using your own bodyweight, keeping your thumbs as close to your index finger as much as possible, using different parts of your arms to take place of your hands, advance/ retreat method where bending the knee comes to play, etc. There are many body mechanics that you will be able to find suited to your needs as a massage therapist to keep from burnout.
